I am currently selling surfboard planshape (outline) templates for $25 per trace including shipping. Basically, all you have to do when you get your template is:
1) cut it out
2) spray some 3M adhesive onto a piece of 1/8th inch Lauan Plywood or other templating material of your choice
3) smooth your paper template onto the template material making sure to smooth out any air bubbles
4) cut out the wood template
5) use a Stanley Surform tool or Microplane to bring the edge to the line
6) fine tune it with a good fine grit sand paper, and you have yourself a template!
I have 63 Surfboard templates currently for sale. My templates range from a little 3' baby stinger wall hanger all the way up to a 13'4" Section Connector. Some are full length templates, others are spin templates or half templates, and I have several nose and tail templates to choose from.
I have 15 more boards of my own that I will be templating out next week to make the grand total 78 templates.
I also have others that need to be cut out, so those will make it somewhere between 78 and 100 surfboard templates overall.
I have several fin templates as well. Those are $12 per trace.
I spent about a year in total combined man hours making and fine tuning these templates, so I can't exactly give them away for nothing. I spent many a night out in the shaping room away from my family so I could complete my surfboard template history.
I have already taken pictures of the 63 that I have ready. I will upload them with descriptions of each before the weekend. That way you know what you are looking for.
With my hard work, and my template archive / library, you could virtually build any board that you would ever want to create.
